In response to Commissioner Wright's inquiry as to the difficulty of the proposed course, Mr.
Higdon advised that the objective is to develop a golf course that would be walkable and a
challenge for all levels of play.

In response to Chair Barker's question as to whether there would be water on the course, Mr.
Higdon noted that there would be ponds for irrigation storage.

Commissioner Cooper asked about the trail system, stating that he would like to avoid having
eventual trails in less desirable areas. He would like to see the trails worked around the golf
course, keeping them aesthetically pleasing.

There was consensus of the Planning Commission that the goals and concepts document is
satisfactory .

9. COMMUNICATIONS

Commissioner Dove commented on the cohesiveness of the Golf Course Committee and the
expertise of the Chair of that Committee.

Commissioner Cooper advised that he missed the last Affordable Housing Committee, but he
did review the minutes and there was nothing of great significance requiring the Planning
Commission's consideration. It was noted that the item regarding a liaison from the
Affordable Housing Committee to serve on the Planning Commission is scheduled for the
Planning Commission's June 11 agenda.

10.
