<br />Chair Barker is not in favor of adding all the modular buildings. Mr. Beougher advised that along <br />with the City staff, the City employs a number of contract employees. The overcrowding situation <br />has existed for a long time. Me Higdon also advised that there is an ongoing study looking at <br />modifying City Hall as welL <br /> <br />Chair Barker feels the City should uphold themselves to the same standards as other applicants. <br />They would not be allowed to move in modular buildings. She feels the City should rent existing <br />office space. She will not support this application. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cooper motioned, seconded by Commissioner Wright, recommending approval <br />of Case Z-97-S0 to the City Council subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit B. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper, Dove, Lutz, and Wright <br />Chair Barker <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC 97-34 was entered recommending approval of Case Z-97-50 to the City <br />Council, as motioned. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />~ Commissioner Cooper thanked Debra Acosta for her response to the Commission's previous issue <br />and thanked Council Member Ayala for attending the Plamting Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright inquired of staff if there was a way to stop the "littering" of landscaping <br />services that are thrown on the sidewalks. Mr. Beougher agreed that it is littering, but there is <br />nothing in the Code that would prevent such activity. Commercial speech has some protections. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br /> <br />a. Future Planning Calendar <br />Staff advised Chair Barker that the Park and Recreation Commission will not be reviewing <br />the application for the Golden Eagle Farm special events/conference center within the Bernal Adobe. <br /> <br />Staff advised Commissioner Dove that staff (including Director Bengtson) has reviewed the <br />elimination of the pedestrian trail system of Golden Eagle Farm - Phase 2. The Park and Recreation <br />Commission did not look at the application. <br /> <br />b. Actions of the Citv Council <br />There was none. <br /> <br />c. Actions of the Zoninl!
