<br />Commissioner Lutz inquired what was meant by the condition specifying the kitchen will have food <br />items available. Mr. Iserson stated they are not requiring a fun dinner be available, but some type <br />of snack food items be available to possibly minimize the effects of alcohol consumption. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dove commented that a similar application was before the Commission and staff <br />required kitchen staff be available to provide a full meal menu after 10 p.m. Staff advised that <br />particular situation was more sensitive because the restaurant and bar were located in a <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Susan Garcia, 888 Russet Drive, Sunnyvale, represented her application. Ms. Garcia advised that <br />they had intended to have a kitchen person on site, with a full appetizer menu available after 11 pm. <br />Also, there will be no microwaves on site. Their business intent is to provide authentic Mexican <br />food and education and information about the Mexican culture through the tequila process. <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Cooper, Ms. Garcia assured the music will be non-amplified guitar <br />music. <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Wright, Ms. Garcia stated that she is in agreement with the staff report <br />and the conditions of approval. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright motioned, seconded by Commissioner Cooper, making the conditional <br />use permit findings and approving Case UP-97-9, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit B. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper, Dove, Lutz, Wright and Chair Barker <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC 97-24 was entered approving Case UP-97-9, as motioned. <br /> <br />b. Todd Fuiinal!a/Bonfare Market <br />Application for a conditional use permit to establish a convenience market, Bonfare Market, <br />in an approximately 3,100 square foot tenant space located at the Vintage Hills Shopping Center <br />(3550 Bernal Avenue). Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C-N <br />(Neighborhood Commercial) District. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson presented the staff report for a conditional use permit to establish a convenience market, <br />Bonfare Market, in an approximately 3,100 sq. ft. tenant space located at the Vintage Hills Shopping <br />Center, Suite 110. The property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C-N (Neighborhood <br />Commercial) District. This area has a mixture of retail stores and personal service businesses.
