ARTICLE 17 <br /> <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br /> 17.100 Performance Standards. <br /> <br /> 17.101 No la~d or building iu any District shall he used so as to <br /> c~eate any daugerous, injurious or noxious co~lition as to: <br /> <br /> a) Noise or r~bration. <br /> b) Air ~ollution. <br /> c) ~eat, colad~upness, electrical or othe~ disturbance. <br /> d) ~lare o~ light. <br /> e) ~iqu~d or solid refuse or waste. <br /> f) Other substance, condition or dangerous or objection- <br /> able, which adversely affects the s~rr~uz~!ing area of adjoining premises. <br /> <br /> 17.10~ All uses peatted by this Ordinance shall confo~u to <br /> the measurements hereafter set forth. <br /> <br /> 17.103 In obtaining any permit required by this Ordinance, the appli- <br /> cant shall show that he can or has reasonably complied with these per- <br /> formance standards. <br /> <br />_ 17.104 Enforcement of continuing compliance with performance <br /> standards shall be the responsibility of the Building Inspector and <br /> the Planning Cor~ission. <br /> <br /> 17.105 Test Points for Enforcing Performance Standards. The <br /> measurement of any dangerous and objectionable element shall be made at <br /> the following test points: <br /> <br /> a) For the I and I-P District: 500 feet from the use, <br /> or at the boundaries of the District, if closer, or at any point within <br /> the boundaries of adjacent district other than an '~" District boundary. <br /> b) All other districts, at the lot line or 25 feet from <br /> the source, whichever is greater. <br /> <br /> 17.106 Noise. The maximum sound level radiated in each standard <br /> octave band by any use shall not exceed the values for octave bands <br /> lying within the several frequency limits given in Table I, after apply- <br /> ing the corrections shown in Table II. <br /> <br /> 17.108 The sound level shall be measured with a Sound Level Meter <br /> and associated Octave Band Analyzer conforming to standards prescribed <br /> by the American Standards Association. (American Standards Sound Level <br /> Meters for Measurement of Noise and Other Sounds, Z24. 3-194~, American <br /> Standards Association, Inc., New York, N.Y., 1944 edition, and American <br /> Standard Specification for an Octave-Band Filter Set for the Analysis <br /> of Noise and Other Sounds, Z24, 10-1953, 1953 edition. Copies of said <br /> publication shall be kept on file at the City Hall by the City Clerk. <br /> <br /> 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
