PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-74 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY FOR A MAJOR MODIFICATION OF THE HACIENDA BUSINESS PARK PUD AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-81-30-35M/PUD-85-8-16M WHEREAS, the Prudential Insurance Company has applied for a major modification of the Hacienda Business Park PUD development plans and design guidelines to allow hotels and motels on Parcels 52, 53A, 55A and B, 56C, 57 A, B, and C; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (planned Unit Development) - I/C-O (Industrial, Commercial, and Offices) District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 9,1996, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed PUD modification is covered by the Environmental Impact Report (ErR) approved by the City Council for the Hacienda Business Park; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: I. The proposed development plan modification is in the best interests of the public health, safety, and general welfare: Full public street infrastructure including public streets, sidewalks, and utilities are present to serve development on these sites. According to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Flood Hazard Maps, these sites will not be affected by the I OO-year or the 500-year floods. 2. The proposed development plan modification is consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan: The subject sites are designated by the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan for Business Park land uses. Hotels/motels would conform to this land use designation.
