<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />Proposed Draft Ordinance <br />Case RZ-96-03 <br />(August 14, 1996) <br /> <br />(proposed new language is italicized in bold, proposed deletions in slFikesHt) <br /> <br />Chapter 18.116 <br /> <br />Temporary Uses <br /> <br />18.116.040 Outdoor Sales <br /> <br />Temporary outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services meeting the following <br />requirements shall be permitted upon the granting of a temporary conditional use permit <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 18.124.170 of this title: <br /> <br />A. Except for hotel conventions as stipulated in Section 18.116.045 of this title, <br />Goutdoor display and/or sale of merchandise shall be done as part of a business <br />district or shopping center event or to benefit charitable or nonprofit <br />organizations. No outdoor sales by businesses on an individual basis shall be <br />allowed. <br /> <br />B. through E. (no changes) <br /> <br />18.116.045 Outdoor Sales During Hotel Conventions <br /> <br />Temporary outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services meeting the <br />following requirements shall be permitted during hotel conventions upon the granting <br />of a temporary conditional use permit in accordance with the provisions of Section <br />18.124.170 of this title: <br /> <br />A. Outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services shall be allowed only as <br />part of a hotel convention or conference. <br /> <br />B. The organization or association that holds the convention must be non-profit or <br />charitable or, if the organization or association holding the event isfor-profit, <br />then the convention must entirely benefit (minus operating costs) a charitable <br />organization. Individual vendors at a convention may be for-profit businesses. <br /> <br />C. Outdoor vendor areas are limited to convention attendees only and shall not be <br />open to the general public. <br /> <br />D. Temporary outdoor sales shall not last longer than five days. <br />
