B. Ootion 2

Option 2 would result in 29,257 housing units at buildout and a population of 75,205.

Over 28 million square feet of CIOII property would exist at buildout, with 68,254 jobs. This

Option is similar to the adopted Project; there are, however, fewer dwelling units with the result

that the City's jobs to housing balance would be reduced.

The City Council finds that Option 2 alternative is less desirable than the Project, and

rejects this Option for the following reasons:

a. This Option will create the same adverse environmental impacts which

o

cannot be mitigated as would the Project; however, this Option would generate less residential

development and fewer development fees to pay for public improvements in the City;

b. This Option would reduce the City's job-to-housing balance.

C. Ootion 3

Option 3 would result in 30,346 housing units at buildout, with a population of 78,004.

It would generate 28.2 million square feet of CIOII, and generate 68,254 jobs, at buildout. This

Option provides for more residential development than the Project and even more than the

existing General Plan.

This Option would result in a significantly higher number of residential units and a larger

population than the buildout of the existing General Plan. Impacts, such as use of water and

energy, the production of solid waste and waste water, and demands for public services, would

increase, albeit slightly.

5
