<br />Resolution No. PC-96-33 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of the sub-committee work, the Steering Committee reviewed <br />the various recommendations with the purpose of coordinating them and resolving <br />potentially conflicting recommendations between sub-committees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff then revised the General Plan based upon the Steering Committee <br />recommendations and prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report, dated <br />January 31, 1996, a fiscal analysis, and an alternatives report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City provided public notice of completion of the Draft Environmental Impact <br />Report for the proposed General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on March 13, 1996, held a public hearing on the Draft <br />Environmental Impact Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has accepted and responded to comments to the Draft Environmental <br />Impact Report from public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons having <br />special expertise with respect to any environmental impact involved, and other <br />persons or organizations having an interest in the proposed General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report has been prepared and contains the Draft <br />Environmental Impact Report, comments and recommendations received on the <br />Draft Environmental Impact Report, and the responses of the City of Pleasanton <br />to significant environmental points raised in the review and consultation process; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City provided proper public notice of completion of the Final Environmental <br />Impact Report for the proposed General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on May 13, 1996, considered <br />the Final Environmental Impact Report. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Finds, after having reviewed and considered the material in the Final <br />Environmental Impact Report, that the Final Environmental Impact Report is <br />complete, sufficient, and acceptable for the 1996 Pleasanton General Plan update. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Finds that the Final Environmental Impact Report for the 1996 Pleasanton <br />General Plan update has been completed in compliance with the California <br />Environmental Quality Act, and State and City guidelines. <br />
