Attachment 1 Exhibit B <br /> 6. Frame Inspection. Framing inspections shall be made after the roof deck or sheathing are approved <br /> and the structure is adequately protected from weather intrusion, all framing, fire-blocking and <br /> bracing are in place, all pipes, chimneys and vents to be concealed are complete and the rough <br /> electrical, plumbing, heating, wiring, piping and ducts are approved. Moisture content of framing <br /> members shall be verified in accordance with the California Green Building Standards Code. <br /> 7. Sprinkler System Pre-Concealment Inspection. Fire sprinklers shall be installed in all required <br /> locations, and the sprinkler piping installation shall be tested and inspected prior to the concealment <br /> of any sprinkler system piping. <br /> 8. Energy Efficiency Inspections. Inspections shall be made to determine compliance with the <br /> California Energy Code, Title 24, Part 6 and shall include, but not be limited to, inspections for: <br /> envelope insulation R- and U-values,fenestration U-value,duct system R-value, and HVAC and <br /> water-heating equipment efficiency. Wall and concealed ceiling insulation inspections are required <br /> to be made after the frame inspection is approved and before being covered. <br /> 9. Lath and/or wallboard Inspection. Lath and gypsum board inspections shall be made after lathing <br /> and gypsum board, interior and exterior, is in place. but before any plastering is applied or gypsum <br /> board joints and fasteners are taped and finished. <br /> EXCEPTION: Gypsum board that is not part of a fire-resistance-rated assembly. <br /> 10. Fire-resistance-rated Construction Inspection. Wherever fire-resistance-rated construction is <br /> required,the Building and Safety Official shall require an inspection of such construction after all <br /> lathing and/or wallboard is in place, but before any plaster is applied, or before wallboard joints and <br /> fasteners are taped and finished. Protection of joints and penetrations in fire-resistance-rated <br /> assemblies, smoke barriers and smoke partitions shall not be concealed from view until inspected <br /> and approved. <br /> 11. Weather-exposed balcony and walking surface waterproofing. Where balconies or other elevated <br /> walking surfaces are exposed to water from direct or blowing rain, snow or irrigation, and the <br /> structural framing is protected by an impervious moisture barrier, all elements of the impervious <br /> moisture barrier system shall not be concealed until inspected and approved. <br /> EXCEPTION: Where special inspections are provided in accordance with California Building, <br /> Code Section 1705.1.1, Item 3. <br /> 12. Other Inspections.In addition to the inspections specified above, the Building and Safety Official is <br /> authorized to make or require other inspections of any construction work to ascertain compliance <br /> with the provisions of this code and other laws that are enforced by the department of building <br /> safety. <br /> 13. Final Inspection. Final inspection shall be made after the permitted work is complete and prior to <br /> occupancy. <br /> Page 12 of 64 <br />
