PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-77

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF DUBLIN SAN RAMON
SERVICES DISTRICT FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND DESIGN
REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE UP_97-46/Z-97-182

WHEREAS, Dublin San Ramon Services District has applied for design review approval and a
temporary conditional use permit to install a triple-wide modular building and
related site improvements to be located at the southeast corner of Stoneridge
Drive and Johnson Drive; and

WHEREAS, zoning for the property is A (Agriculture) District; and

WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of September 10, 1997, the Planning Commission
considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City
staff concerning this application; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following fmdings:

A. The proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives
of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the district in which the site is located.

Some ofthe objectives of the zoning ordinance and Agriculture zoning district are
to: foster a harmonious, convenient, workable relationship among land uses,
protect existing land uses from inharmonious influences and harmful intrusions,
and to insure that public and private lands ultimately are used for the purposes
which are most appropriate and beneficial to the City as a whole. As proposed,
the proposed location ofthe use would not interfere with the operations of, nor
create adverse impacts on, the surrounding uses. In addition, due to the interim
nature of the proposed use, the small size of the modular building, the limited
number of employees that would occupy the site, and the lack of outdoor
activities, the proposed project would be consistent with these objectives. The
applicants would also be required to mitigate any future nuisances which may
occur as a result of the proposed use.

B. The proposed location ofthe conditional use and the conditions under which it
would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public heath, safety,
or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity.

--------..---..-.---
