Scope of Work Task 1: Coordination with Project Partners and Consultant Task 1.1: Kick-Off Meeting: Upon project initiation, Hexagon will schedule a kick-off meeting including the project team and City staff to discuss the project objectives, pertinent project background information, communication protocols, scope and schedule, and set up a recurring meeting time for check-in meetings. Hexagon will coordinate with City staff to develop a detailed work plan, schedule, and invoicing structure. Meeting and conference call schedules to discuss progress will be established. Task 1.2: Project Team Meetings: Assuming a schedule of 14 months, this scope includes monthly 1- hour virtual check-in meetings led by Hexagon. Hexagon will prepare meeting agendas, as well as summarize and distribute meeting minutes. Project administration and management work are also included in this task. Task 1 Deliverables: Kick-off Meeting agenda and minutes, Monthly meeting minutes and action items, and monthly progress reports, and invoice Task 2: Inventory of Facilities, Programs, and Existing Conditions The team will review any pertinent documents and programs applicable to BPMP. These include: TASK 2: Document Review: • Pleasanton Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, 2018 • Pleasanton General Plan • Pleasanton Climate Action Plan, 2022 • Pleasanton Trails Master Plan, 2019 • Programs implemented since BPMP, 2018 was adopted TASK 2: Hexagon’s additions: • Alameda County Active Transportation Plan, 2022 • Active Transportation Plans and other relevant plans of adjacent Jurisdictions • MTC Regional Active Transportation Plan, 2023 • BART Station Access Policy and Multimodal Access Design Guidelines • Pleasanton Specific plans The team will review the City’s 2018 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and 2019 Trails Master Plan, including relevant maps and route networks, and compare against documentation of recently implemented bicycle projects and satellite map (via Google), to determine which facilities have been implemented since adoption of each plan. The team will then update the City’s GIS layers to include bicycle projects that have been implemented since adoption of each plan. The team will also conduct a targeted pedestrian facility inventory of up to twenty major intersections in Pleasanton. The intersections will be selected in coordination with City staff. Preliminarily, we anticipate to pick major intersections near high pedestrian generators such as malls, schools, downtown, and regional transit hubs. The team will conduct a desktop review to identify key intersection characteristics and will validate the desktop review by conducting a one-day site visit covering all twenty intersections.
