<br />Resolution No. PC-97-65 <br />Page 14 <br /> <br />56. The development shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton Fire Code (Chapter 20.24 <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal Code). <br /> <br />57. The site shall be kept free of fire hazards from the start of construction to final inspection. <br /> <br />58. Trash enclosures which are sized to contain dumpsters with an individual capacity of 1.5 <br />cubic yards located within five feet of combustible walls, openings, or combustible roof <br />eaves shall be provided with an automatic fire sprinkler system. <br /> <br />59. The applicant shall ensure that fire protection facilities, including all surface roads, fire <br />hydrants, and a water supply capable of furnishing the required fire flow shall be installed <br />and serviceable prior to and during the time of construction. When alternate methods of <br />protection are as approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may be waived or <br />modified. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted, in writing, <br />to the Fire Chief. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall not start without <br />the approval of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />60. All roads on the site are designated as fire apparatus access roads by the Fire Chief and <br />must be maintained in accordance with Section 10.201 of the Uniform Fire Code and be <br />accessible at all times from the start of construction until the project is completed. <br /> <br />61. Curbs within the project site must be painted red and "No Parking - Fire Lane" signs <br />provided as required by the vehicle code. <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />62. If required by the Police Department, the buildings shall be equipped with an alarm <br />system, the type to be approved by the Police Department; this system shall be installed <br />prior to occupancy of the building. <br /> <br />Engineering <br /> <br />63. All on-site utilities (sanitary and storm drain) shall be private and maintained by the <br />owner. There shall be one common public water (combination domestic and fire <br />protection) looped throughout the facility or alternative system approved by the City <br />Engineer. The minimum size water and sanitary sewer mains shall be 8 inches unless <br />otherwise approved by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />64. Unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer, the project shall utilize existing utilities <br />stubbed to the site from Owens Drive. Any existing utilities stubbed to the site and not <br />utilized by the project shall be required to be abandoned at the direction of the City <br />Engineer. <br />
