<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-62 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECONFIRMING THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S FINDING <br />THAT THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE STONERIDGE REGIONAL <br />SHOPPING CENTER DEYELOPMENT AGREEMENT IS CONSISTENT WITH THE <br />GOALS AND POLICIES OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Security Trust Company, as Trustee for Stoneridge Regional Shopping Center, <br />has applied for an amendment to the Development Agreement which would: (1) <br />extend the term of the Agreement for five years; (2) allow an additional <br />development of 202,000 square feet (in addition to the 178,000 square feet of <br />approved but not yet built development) of leasable floor area in additional <br />department stores, specialty stores, and/or additional mall stores; (3) establish <br />revised minimum parking ratios; and (4) establish the owners' obligations for <br />further traffic mitigation improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-R(m) Regional Commercial (enclosed mall) District; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 20, 1996, the Planning Commission considered and <br />recommended approval of an amendment to this Development Agreement and a <br />Negative Declaration prepared for the amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council action on the amendment was postponed pending review of the <br />proposal by the W. Las Positas Interchange Study Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the application for the amendment has been modified from the original application <br />in that the request for expansion is now 202,000 square feet, rather than the <br />original 220,000 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing ofJuly 23, 1997, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff concerning the proposed amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reconfirmed its finding that the proposed amendment to <br />the Development Agreement is consistent with the goals and policies of the <br />General Plan. <br />
