Furthermore, a long-term funding strategy is required and will be developed as the City <br />continues to move forward with financial stabilization and planning efforts. <br /> <br />Recommended Projects <br />After using the City’s recently adopted CIP Prioritization Process, staff recommends funding <br />only the most critical/urgent General Fund-supported projects that address regulatory <br />requirements, prevent facility closures, or are significantly grant-funded. The total value of the <br />recommended project list is $16.6 million. These include: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Staff is seeking the City Council’s input and direction on the proposed list of General Fund- <br />reliant projects provided above. Direction on these items is necessary at this time because <br />any changes to the project list of proposed funding levels will impact the amount of General <br />Fund available to support the Operating Budget. See Attachment 1 for the recommended list <br />of proposed projects and Attachment 2 for a list of the submitted unfunded projects. <br /> <br />Critical Deferred Maintenance Projects <br />Continuing to deferring critical maintenance projects will increase longer-term costs and may <br />result in unexpected facility closures.
