ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE STATION ALERTING SYSTEM

H. WHEREAS, City provided ACFD with recommendations and direction for the Project; and I. WHEREAS, the Parties have identified efficiencies to be gained from using ACFD's contractor to complete the Project; and J. WHEREAS, the Parties agree that FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS AND FORTY-SIX CENTS ($594,705.46) represents the Project cost without contingency, as detailed in Attachment A. The Project covers installation work to be performed at the following City Fire Stations: Fire Station 1 — 3560 Nevada Street, Pleasanton CA 94566 Fire Station 2 — 6300 Stoneridge Mall Rd, Pleasanton CA 94566 Fire Station 3 — 3200 Santa Rita Rd, Pleasanton CA 94566 Fire Station 4 — 1600 Oak Vista Way, Pleasanton CA 94566 Fire Station 5 — 1200 Machado Place, Pleasanton CA 94566 The wiring diagrams for the Project are detailed in Attachment B; and K. WHEREAS, the Parties agree that a ten percent (10%) contingency of FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS AND FIFTY-FIVE CENTS ($59,470.55) is reasonable and appropriate, bringing the total Project cost covered by this Agreement to SIX HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX DOLLARS ($654,176.00) ("the Not -to -Exceed Amount"); and L. WHEREAS, City will reimburse ACFD for all of the actual costs ACFD incurs for the Project; and M. WHEREAS, the City acknowledges that successful completion of the Project will require City cooperation, including timely responses; and N. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton can authorize the City Manager to enter into agreements with governmental entities. NOW THEREFORE, THE PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT COVENANT AND AGREE AS FOLLOWS: TERMS ACFD shall: 1. Enter into and maintain a contract for completion of the Project. 2. Track costs incurred due to the Project ("Costs"). Alerting System Agreement Page 3 of 8
