G. STREET LANDSCAPE DESIGN GUIDELINES <br />A Master Street Landscape Plan shall be prepared by the City following adoption of the Specific <br />Plan which provides guidance for decorative landscaping throughout the Plan Area street system. <br />The following primary design principles shall be integrated into the Plan : <br />1. Reali211ed Vineyard A venue Landscapin2 <br />Views of the quarry operations from the realigned Vineyard A venue should be <br />screened to the fullest extent feasible through the use of clustered evergreen tree <br />plantings along the north side of Vineyard A venue. <br />2. Vineyard A venue Si211a2e <br />3. <br />Signage along Vineyard A venue should conform to the "Wine Country <br />Community Access Corridor" design guidelines developed by the Livermore <br />Chamber of Commerce . <br />Street Entry Landscapin2 <br />a. Neighborhood street entry landscaping should be provided at each street <br />intersection with t.he realigned Vineyard Avenue (Figure V-3). Formal <br />plantings in a semi-circular pattern should be provided to define and <br />accentuate the neighborhood entries. <br />b. In MDR Districts, decorative walls, pilasters, archways, and entry <br />monuments of stone construction are encouraged at individual development <br />entries to accentuate the vineyard design theme (Figure V-4). <br />4. Local and Cul-de-Sac Street Tree-Plantin2 <br />a. Dense natural groupings of medium-and large-sized deciduous and <br />evergreen trees should be planted along local and cul-de-sac streets in <br />LDR areas. Tree distances from the edge of roadway should vary to <br />reflect a natural symmetry. <br />b. Colorful deciduous trees should be planted in a symmetrical pattern along <br />local and cul-de-sac streets in MDR areas. <br />65
