Sep 24, 2024 Ellen Clark Community Development Director City of Pleasanton 200 Old Bernal Avenue Pleasanton,CA 94566 Re:Proposal:Technical Assistance for the Pleasanton Objective DesignStandards Dear Ellen Clark, Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP (hereafter VMWP)is pleased to continue to advise and provide technical assistance to the City of Pleasanton on various elements of the Pleasanton Objective Design Standards.The following is a proposal for a continuation of VMWP’s initial work on the Objective Design Standards (2019-2023). VMWP will assist the City of Pleasanton in four scope elements identified by the Community Development Department under this new proposed project.In addition,VMWP will enter into an on-call agreement for technical review and assistance of development proposals under a separate continuing contract. 1.Scope of Work The Scope of Work for this agreement is to extend the services provided in the August 2020 contract between the City of Pleasanton and Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP,as amended in March 2022. Several tasks from the previous contract were not billed and approximately $19,000 of fee in the previous contract was unbilled.At the request of the Community Development Department,VMWP is proposing the following services on a time and materials basis.Several tasks involve uncertainty due to decision processes and VMWP has estimated a not-to-exceed fee based on previous experience of similar work.In addition,VMWP is recommending a 20%allowance to be used with preapproval for any necessary additive scope.As with the previous contract,VMWP will bill for time incurred and may not bill for the entire task budget if it is not needed.The following is an outline description of each of these tasks/phases of work: Docusign Envelope ID: F6348CE0-B9B9-4C94-A0EC-45FC81964DE5Docusign Envelope ID: 215F4A13-DFE6-4BAA-B6C5-BA14B1AB9171
