CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-090 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS AND <br />DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 2, 2004 REGULAR <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br />the City Council has ordered consolidation of its regular municipal election with <br />the statewide general election pursuant to Elections Code Section 1 0403.5, and <br />such election was held on November 2, 2004; and <br /> <br />the conduct of such a consolidated election is governed by Elections Code Section <br />10400 et seq., and voting precincts were established for the consolidated election <br />in accordance with the Elections code; and <br /> <br />the canvass has been duly made for the election of a Mayor and two City <br />Councilmembers and the returns axe as follows: <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Total ballots cast were 31,766 representing approximately 84.09% of the <br />eligible voters in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Names and numbers of votes for persons running for the office of Mayor: <br /> <br />Jennifer Hosterman 12,729 <br />Kay Ayala 12,036 <br />Gabe Kralik 4,243 <br /> <br />Names and number of votes for persons running for the office of City <br />Councilmember: <br /> <br />Cindy McGovern 16,282 <br />Matt Sullivan 13,381 <br />Jerry Thorne 12,937 <br /> <br /> <br />
