City of Pleasanton | Cross-ConnectionControlPlan Project No. PWD 24.202 | September 4,2024 6 <br />x Advise the City on meeting CCCPH requirements for approximately 612 sites that do not <br />have fire systems backflow protection. <br />x Advise and develop a public outreach and educational program for City’s review, approval, <br />and inclusion in the City’s CCCP Section 9, in compliance with CCCPH Chapter 3, Article 1, <br />Section 3.1.3(a)(9). This can include flyers, brochures, website notifications, local press <br />releases, and minor web site content program overview. <br />Task 2.1. Meetings <br />This Task includes the following anticipated project meetings: <br />x Three (3) meetings with the City to discuss information required in the Plan <br />x Two (2) meetings to discuss fire protection systems <br />x One (1) meeting to discuss public outreach documents <br />x One (1) meeting to discuss the draft Plan <br />Task 2.2. Cross-Connection Control Plan <br />West Yost’s Specialists will prepare the CCCP based on the adopted CCCPH and discussions and results <br />from Tasks 1 and 2. The CCCP will include a discussion of the following ten elements: <br />Operating Rules and Ordinances CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (1) <br />Cross-Connection Control Program Coordinator CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (2) <br />Hazard Assessments CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (3) <br />Backflow Prevention CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (4) <br />Certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers and Specialists CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (5) <br />Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (6) <br />Recordkeeping CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (7) <br />Backflow Incident Response, Reporting, and Notification CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (8) <br />Public Outreach and Education CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (9) <br />Local Entity Coordination CCCPH Section 3.1.3 (a) (10 <br />West Yost will provide the City with a draft Plan Table of Contents prior to the first project meeting <br />(Task 1) to confirm the Plan structure and format. <br />West Yost will also prepare an updated CCCP if the City receives CCCP comments after the July 1, 2025 <br />SWRCB submittal. <br />Task 2 Assumptions <br />x Meetings will be held at the City’s offices, by videoconferencing, or a combination of both. <br />x Technical support for City Council and public workshops will be provided under Task 4. <br />x Public outreach efforts will mostly consist of preparing a brochure or flyers describing the City’s <br />backflow program.
