Resolution No. 04-093 Page 2 Section 2: The City Council hereby requests the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to order this election be conducted by Alameda County on June 7, 2005, in conjunction with any other regularly scheduled and special elections being held within the County on that date, with the actual costs for said election to be reimbursed by the City to the County. Section 3: Candidates will be charged $240.00 for the cost of printing and mailing their Statement of Qualifications, payable at the time of filing the nomination papers. Section 4: A candidate's Statement of Qualifications shall not exceed 200 words. Section 5: No materials other than the voter's pamphlet and sample ballot shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to the voters; if a candidate wishes to send additional materials to the voters, it will be at the candidate's expense and by persons other than the city. Section 6: In case of a tie vote at the June 7, 2005 election, a special mn-off election is ordered, as follows: The special election must be held on a Tuesday, not less than 40 days nor more than 125 days after the certification of the election which resulted in the tie vote. If a regular election is to be held during this time period, the special mn-off election will be consolidated with the regular election. Section 7: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
