Grantee shall insure that the evaluation and treatment of <br /> contractors, employees and applicants for employment are free from such <br /> discrimination and harassment. <br /> Additionally, Grantee, contractors, and subcontractors, if applicable, shall <br /> comply with the provisions of the Fair Employment and Housing Act (Gov. <br /> Code §12900 et seq.), the regulations promulgated thereunder (Cal. Code <br /> Regs., tit. 2, §1 1000 et seq.), the provisions of Article 9.5, Chapter 1, Part 1, <br /> Division 3, Title 2 of the Government Code (Gov. Code §§ 1 1 135-1 1 139.5), <br /> and the regulations or standards adopted by the California State Library to <br /> implement such article. <br /> Grantee shall permit access by representatives of the Department of Civil <br /> Rights and the California State Library upon reasonable notice at any time <br /> during the normal business hours, but in no case less than 24 hours' notice, <br /> to such of its books, records, accounts, and all other sources of information <br /> and its facilities as said Department or the California State Library shall <br /> require ascertaining compliance with this clause. Grantee, and its <br /> contractors, and subcontractors shall give written notice of their obligations <br /> under this clause to labor organizations with which they have a collective <br /> bargaining or other agreement. (See Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, §1 1 105.) <br /> Grantee shall include the non-discrimination and compliance provisions of <br /> this clause in all contracts and subcontracts to perform work under the <br /> Agreement. <br /> 28. Notices: All notices and other communications in connection with this <br /> Agreement shall be in writing, and shall be considered delivered as follows: <br /> a. Electronic Mail (E-mail): When sent by e-mail to the last e-mail <br /> address of the recipient known to the party giving notice. Notice is <br /> effective upon transmission. <br /> b. DocuSign (e-signature platform): When sent via DocuSign a <br /> notification will be sent to the last e-mail address of the recipient <br /> known to the party giving notice. Notice is effective upon <br /> transmission. <br /> c. Grants Management System: When sent via / uploaded to the <br /> California State Library's Grants Management System a notification <br /> will be sent to the last e-mail address of the recipient known to the <br /> party giving notice. Notice is effective upon transmission. <br /> d. Personally: When delivered personally to the recipient's physical <br /> address as stated in this Agreement. <br />
