3 of 14 <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />APPLICATION, PROJECT, AND AWARD <br />2.1 Application. <br />Application Title: Pleasanton Travel Action Plan <br />Application Date: July 7, 2023 <br />2.2 Award Amount. <br />SS4A Grant Amount: $240,000 <br />2.3 Federal Obligation Information. <br />Federal Obligation Type: Single <br />2.4 Budget Period. <br />Budget Period: See Block 6 of Page 1 <br />2.5 Grant Designation. <br />Designation: Planning and Demonstration <br />ARTICLE 3 <br />SUMMARY PROJECT INFORMATION <br />3.1 Summary of Project’s Statement of Work. <br />The Pleasanton Travel Action Plan will review crash data to identify engineering and non-infrastructure. <br />recommendations to enhance safety for travelers utilizing the City’s transportation network. The PTAP will <br />address multiple needs to evaluate crash history, collaborate among stakeholders, and update the active <br />transportation network. The PTAP will provide a single planning document that addresses eligibility needs for <br />the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), the California Active Transportation Program (ATP), and <br />implementation projects funded by the SS4A program. The PTAP will meet requirements for a Local Roadway <br />Safety Plan (LRSP) and update the existing City of Pleasanton Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP), <br />adopted 2018. Preparation of the PTAP will develop capital projects and programs to reduce traffic crash <br />fatalities and serious injuries on all City public roads, while addressing the 5 E’s of transportation safety: <br />Engineering, Enforcement, Education, Emergency Services, and Equity. A dedicated Stakeholder Working <br />Group (SWG) will be assembled consisting of multidisciplinary partners with <br />overlapping interest in transportation safety. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Page 32 of 218
