Ascertain Forensics at RTL will provide expert testimony concerning the analysts and interpretations of results. Our staff has years of experience in providing court testimony in municipal and superior courts throughout California. In addition, our staff are available to City of Pleasanton staff for consultation regarding test results at no additional cost to the City of Pleasanton. 5. Expert testimony shall meet all applicable legal requirements in establishing custody of records and standards set forth by California State Law (i.e. Penal/Evidence code). Ascertain Forensics at RTL maintains full chain-of-custody records and all supporting analytical documentation, including results of all quality control tests. A brief chain-of-custody statement will be included on each report with detailed chain-of-custody information always available upon request from the laboratory. 6. Ascertain Forensics at RTL reports are normally issued within twenty-one to twenty-five (21 to 25) calendar business days from receipt of the specimen, any deviation from normal turnaround time will be communicated to the City of Pleasanton. 7. Ascertain Forensics at RTL will minimize the number of employees handling and testing the evidence. 8. See Exhibit B Billing Rates. Any changes to the current billing rates will be communicated to the City of Pleasanton in advance of the effective date to allow time to update this agreement. 9. Ascertain Forensics at RTL will preserve all specimens tested for a minimum of one (1) year.
