City Council Minutes Page 2 of 4 September 3, 2024 <br />Library and Recreation <br />2.Accept the donation of the temporary public artwork The Wonderful Wizard of Oz <br />Book Bench at the Pleasanton Public Library <br />Recommendation: Accept the donation of the temporary public artwork The <br />Wonderful Wizard of Oz Book Bench at the Pleasanton Public Library. <br />Police <br />3.Adopt a resolution approving an update to the City's Master Fee Schedule for the <br />processing, review, approval and issuance of Concealed Carry Weapons Permits <br />Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2024-061 approving an update to the <br />City's Master Fee Schedule to allow for the collection of reasonable fees related to <br />the processing, review, approval, and issuance of concealed carry weapons <br />permits. <br />Public Works <br />5.Approve Professional Services Agreement with Water Resources Economics, LLC <br />for a not-to-exceed amount of $217,304 for water and sewer rate and connection <br />fee consulting services and approve budget amendments to the Water Operating <br />Fund and Sewer Operating Fund <br />Recommendation: <br />1.Approve a professional services agreement with Water Resources <br />Economics, LLC for a not-to-exceed amount of $217,304 for water and <br />sewer rate and connection fee consulting services. <br />2.Approve budget amendments by increasing professional services <br />appropriation in the Water Operating Fund (420) and Sewer Operating Fund <br />(430) by $35,000 and $45,000, respectively. <br />6.Approve plans and specifications and award a construction contract to Silicon <br />Valley Paving, Inc. in the amount of $406,319 with an approximately 10 percent <br />contingency of $41,000 for the Annual Court Resurfacing project at the Fairlands <br />Park and Tennis and Community Park and approve budget amendments to the <br />Park CIP General Fund (Fund 221) <br />Recommendation: <br />1.Reject all bids received on July 11 for the Annual Court Resurfacing project <br />at the Fairlands Park and Tennis and Community Park. <br />2.Approve plans and specifications and award the project construction <br />contract to Silicon Valley Paving, Inc., for the low bid amount of $371,796, <br />and the bid alternative in the amount of $34,523, for a total bid amount of <br />Page 8 of 90
