See Attachments 1 and 2 for the project map and <br />locations of the improvement work. <br /> <br />All work performed by Villalobos & Associates, Inc. has been reviewed and verified by the City <br />Engineer to meet the City’s approved plans and specifications and has been completed to the <br />satisfaction of the Director of Public Works. Staff recommends the City Council accept the <br />work, authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion, and authorize the release of the <br />retention 30 days after recordation. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Approval of this action advances the City's Climate Action Plan Materials & <br />Consumption strategy – Reduce GHG emissions from materials management and <br />consumption, which will support regional waste reduction efforts as recycled aggregates were <br />used. The updated ADA ramps will also improve accessibility at signalized intersections and <br />remove potential hazards on sidewalks, improving mobility. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />Construction notices, social media messaging, and information on the City’s website were <br />provided before the start of construction. Construction notices were hand-delivered by the <br />contractor to businesses and residents around where the project occurred. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this action advances the ONE Pleasanton strategic plan goal of Investing in Our <br />Environment, Strategy 1 – Implement the four-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to <br />complete design and construction of budgeted capital projects. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funding for this project totaled $908,369, and the project expenditures totaled $886,957, <br />inclusive of the final agreement with Villalobos & Associates, Inc. ($787,927), traffic signal <br />modifications by the City’s on-call contractor ($98,279), and the other project support costs <br />($751), leaving a balance of $21,412. Attachment 3 provides the funding expenditures.
