Given the City’s financial situation, staff has been directed not to start new programs <br />and services. <br /> <br />Projects and goals that are not moving forward from the August 1, 2024 meeting may be <br />considered for subsequent workplan cycles. The Library Commission will begin planning for a <br />second workplan cycle in January 2025 to inform the FY 2025/26 two-year budget process. <br /> <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />The workplan process aims to align funding and staffing resources in a way that provides <br />equity in goals and priorities and provides the greatest benefit to the community. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach has been done in advance of this item. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action advances the following Citywide goals and strategies: <br /> <br />ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan <br />• Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs, Strategy 3 - Implement high priority <br />items from the Library and Recreation Strategic Plan to continue to deliver activities and <br />programs that meet the needs and interests of the community. <br />o Library and Recreation Strategic Plan <br />▪ Goal D.
