Page 3 of 3 <br />A Notice of Exemption (NOE) was filed for the renovation of the parks based on Categorical <br />Exemption Class 2: replacement or reconstruction. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Approval of this action sustains recreational opportunities for all residents. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />Construction notices and project information will be posted on the City’s website prior to the <br />start of construction. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this action advances the Citywide ONE Pleasanton strategic plan goal of <br />Investing in Our Environment, Strategy 1 – Implement the four-year Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) to complete the design and construction of budgeted capital projects <br />and Strategy 7 – Continue to invest in parks, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure, and public <br />art to improve traffic safety, promote climate resilience, and increase equitable access to <br />cultural and recreational opportunities. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The total Capital Improvement Program budget allocation for the Annual Court Resurfacing – <br />Fairlands Park and Tennis and Community Park project, CIP No. 24744, is $600,000, including <br />a reimbursement of $100,000 from Lifetime Tennis and a $100,000 reduction in CIP 24744 <br />from the March 19, 2024 staff recommendation for mid-term budget re-allocations.
