Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach has been done in advance of this item. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action advances the following Citywide goals and strategies: <br /> <br />ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan <br />• Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs, Strategy 3 - Implement high priority <br />items from the Library and Recreation Strategic Plan to continue to deliver activities and <br />programs that meet the needs and interests of the community. <br />• Investing in Our Environment: Infrastructure, Public Facilities and Sustainability, <br />Strategy 7 – Continue to invest in parks, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure, and <br />public art. <br />o Library and Recreation Strategic Plan <br />▪ Goal D. Organization Effectiveness and Talent Management – Foster and <br />productive and engaged workforce and efficient service delivery in a way <br />that reflects the department’s organizational mission, vision, and values. <br /> <br /> <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The City of Pleasanton Public Art Program is currently funded by the City’s General Fund, an <br />Internal Service Fund and “Another H.A.P.P.Y.” (Another Harrington Art Partnership Piece for <br />You). The General Fund supports $40,000 per year for conservation and maintenance. An <br />Internal Service Fund, the Public Art Acquisition and Maintenance Fund, supports $20,000 per <br />year—$10,000 for art installations, which includes light, concrete bases, and plaques; and <br />$10,000 for art acquisition. Another H.A.P.P.Y. is a donor advised fund established by Gary <br />Harrington and Nancy R. Harrington and held by the City of Pleasanton (City) in the account <br />“Another HAPPY”. The Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council has been assigned the Harrington’s <br />limited control over the fund. As of July 2024, the balance of the H.A.P.P.Y fund is: <br />$121,511.87.
