1 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES <br /> <br />This agreement for publication of legal notices (“Agreement”) is entered into this 1st day <br />of July 2024, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation (“City”), and <br />The Bay Area News Group for the East Bay Times, inclusive of the Valley Times <br />(“Contractor”). <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in compliance with Cal. Public Contracts Code §20169 the Bay Area News <br />Group provided a proposal for publication of legal notices in the East Bay Times, inclusive of the <br />Valley Times, which is a daily newspaper of general circulation in the city of Pleasanton in <br />accordance with Government Code section 6008. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in exchange for mutual consideration, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Rates to be charged to the City, which do not exceed the customary rates for the <br />publication of legal notices of a private character for the term of this agreement are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SIX AND TEN COLUMN FORMAT <br /> <br />a. $0.66 per line for the first publication <br />b. $0.65 per line for all additional publications <br /> <br />2. Rates to be charged for legal notices in display format (maps, diagrams) – all <br />publications, color not included: <br /> <br />a. 5c x 5” (eighth page) - $181.50 <br />b. 5c x 10” (quarter page) - $363.00 <br />c. 10c x 10” (half page) - $726.00 <br />d. 10c x 21” (full page) - $1,524.60 <br /> <br />3.
