City Council Minutes Page 3 of 6 May 21, 2024 <br />Finance <br />8.Accept the Monthly Disbursements and Investment Report for March 2024 <br />Recommendation: Accept claim disbursements in the amount of $15,652,115 and <br />the investment report for the month of March 2024. <br />Library and Recreation <br />9.Approve the submittal of an application to the California State Library for grant <br />funds in the amount of $42,948 for fiscal year 2024/25 <br />Recommendation: Approve the submittal of an application to the California State <br />Library for grant funds in the amount of $42,948 for fiscal year 2024/25. <br />Public Works <br />10.Adopt a Resolution of Summary Vacation for a Public Service Easement at 870 St. <br />John Court <br />Recommendation: Approve Resolution No. 2024-029 of Summary Vacation as it <br />meets the following requirements: <br />1.The City Council may summarily vacate a public service easement if it has <br />not been used for the purpose for which it was dedicated or acquired for five <br />consecutive years immediately preceding the proposed vacation (§8333(a)). <br />2.The City Council may vacate the street, highway, or public service easement <br />by adopting a Resolution of Summary Vacation (§8335(a)(1)). <br />3.The Resolution of Summary Vacation must state the following (§8335(b)): <br />a.That the vacation is made under this chapter; and <br />b.That the vacation area is precisely described; and <br />c.That the facts under which this summary vacation is made are as stated <br />in this report; and <br />d.That from and after the date this Resolution of Summary Vacation is <br />recorded with the Alameda County Recorder’s Office, the street, highway, <br />or public service easement vacated no longer constitutes a street, <br />highway, or public service easement; and <br />e.That notice of the Resolution of Summary Vacation has been provided to <br />all entities having any right, title, or interest in the public service <br />easement. <br />11.Approve as-needed Maintenance and Trade Services Agreements for Facilities, <br />Page 11 of 782
