P24-0291, 6455 Owens Drive, Suite 500 Planning Commission <br />4 of 9 <br />PROPOSED PROJECT <br />Prodigy Sports Fitness, Inc. proposes to occupy the approximately 3,391-square-foot tenant <br />space (Suite 500) and operate a gymnasium that offers small group personal training. The <br />proposed hours of operation would be Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 <br />p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The facility would be closed on <br />Sundays. Prodigy Sports Fitness, Inc. utilizes a flexible schedule, meaning their <br />members can reserve (make an appointment) for their training session anytime during <br />any of the available four -hour blocks that work best for their schedule. Their members <br />do not attend specific classes, instead, they work through their workouts at their own <br />pace once they arrive for their session (appointment). Each session (appointment) <br />usually lasts approximately 45 minutes to one hour. On average, 19 members flexibly <br />attend the facility during any given four-hour block. In addition to the members, two <br />coaches are also scheduled to be in the facility during each four-hour block. <br />Collectively, a maximum of 22 people (20 members and two coaches) would be on -site <br />at any one time. <br /> <br />Table 1 is a spreadsheet documenting the attendance to and from the existing facility on <br />an average night, broken down into 15-minute segments. <br /> <br />Table 1: Example of Average Attendance During a 4 -Hour Block <br /> <br /> <br />The applicant is not proposing any exterior or interior improvements with this application. The <br />current tenant space would be an open concept design an d include a reception/lobby area, <br />warm-up area, and a small group training area. See Figure 4 for the proposed floor plans. <br /> <br />Please see the attached narrative and project plans (Exhibit B) for additional information <br />regarding the proposed use. <br />
