At that time, information about the proposed donor piece gathered <br />from the P.A.S.S. meeting will be provided in an agenda report to the Library Commission and <br />the Civic Arts Commission, as the basis for their discussion and recommendation to City <br />Council. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Subcommittee members from each of the City’s commissions provide a diverse perspective on <br />works of art and their placement and representation in the community. <br /> <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach was conducted, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action advances the following Citywide goal and strategy: <br /> <br />ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan <br />• Investing in our Environment: Infrastructure, Public Facilities, and Sustainability – <br />Strategy 7 - Continue to invest in parks, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure, and <br />public art to improve traffic safety, promote climate resilience, and increase equitable <br />access to cultural and recreational opportunities. <br /> <br /> <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact from the selection of a commissioner to serve on the <br />subcommittee. <br /> <br />When the public art piece is presented to the commissions for consideration at a later date, the <br />value of the piece and the cost of its installation and maintenance will be provided, as <br />applicable. <br /> <br /> <br />Prepared by: <br /> <br /> <br />Lia Bushong, Assistant Director of Library/Recreation <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />None <br /> <br />Page 11 of 11
