April 2, 2024 Page 1 of 4 City of Pleasanton T4 Booster Pump Station and F1 Pipeline Amendment No. 1 April 1, 2024 As requested by the City of Pleasanton (City), the following is Woodard & Curran’s proposed scope of work for Amendment No. 1 to our executed Agreement with the City for the T4 Booster Pump Station and F1 Pipeline, dated August 15, 2023. The Agreement scope of work included design engineering services to deliver bid documents for the F1 Pipeline and Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation documents for a pre-packaged booster pump station. This Amendment No. 1 adds: • Engineering and survey staking services during construction of the project. • Development of a Value Engineering solicitation that will be issued to the vendors from whom the City received proposals for the pre-packaged booster pump station. • Bid period support services for the project, including subconsultant contract value adjustments to the Agreement subconsultant allowance amounts. The additional (new) and modified scope items are described below. (Modify) Task 3: Final Engineering Woodard & Curran will provide additional services to close out the final engineering task. The additional services included are: Incremental changes in subconsultant scopes and budgets from the Agreement allowances to reflect actual authorized subconsultant contract scopes and budgets. Pre-Packaged Booster Pump Station Value Engineering Solicitation to proposing vendors. (Modify) Task 3.4 – Subconsultants Woodard & Curran entered into subcontracts with survey (Guida), geotechnical (BSK), corrosion (JDH Corrosion Consultants, Inc.) and transient analysis (Scott Foster Engineering) subconsultants. The actual subcontracted costs exceed the Agreement allowance, and the City approved the actual subcontract values. Pothole services were not utilized during design. The Agreement allowance for pothole services will partially offset the increase in other subconsultant costs and the City will authorize additional budget to cover the remaining increase in costs. (New) Task 3.5 – Pre-Packaged Supplier Bid Value Engineering Support Woodard & Curran will provide support for the City to value engineer vendor proposals received and prepare a value engineering request for proposal modifications. The solicitation documents will present technical elements and modified requirements that can be considered to reduce the cost. This effort would include coordination time with the vender/suppliers to value-engineer current bids and receive updated bids. Assumptions: • Level of effort is limited to budgeted hours.
