It is <br />recommended that the consulting arborist be present during excavation to document roots <br />encountered and advise on impacts and appropriate remedies. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Illustration 1. Tree Protection Measures <br />The trunks of trees #1-3 and 5-8 will require trunk wrapping (orange) from the ground at the base of <br />the trunk up to 6’, or to the lowest branch. <br />Mulch shall be placed within the driplines of trees #1-3 and 5-8 (yellow) to a depth of 3-4”. <br />Tree protection fencing to enclose the tree protection zone (TPZ) shall be placed at or near the <br />driplines of #1-3 and 5-8 (red). See table 4 in tree preservation measures section for fencing <br />dimensions. <br />A root buffer shall be installed for worker access, and equipment and material staging.
