BUENA VISTA TREE SERVICE ARBORIST REPORT Page 7
ARBORIST REPORT, 544 SYCAMORE ROAD, PLEASANTON, CA. 94566 December 2023

described above to prevent compaction of tree routes and provide a stable and serviceable
walking surface (see illustration 1, following page).

It is anticipated that the greatest impact from construction will be from the excavation for the
new hardscape in the front yard which will be within the driplines of valley oaks #7 and 8. It is
recommended that the consulting arborist be present during excavation to document roots
encountered and advise on impacts and appropriate remedies.

Illustration 1. Tree Protection Measures
The trunks of trees #1-3 and 5-8 will require trunk wrapping (orange) from the ground at the base of
the trunk up to 6’, or to the lowest branch.
Mulch shall be placed within the driplines of trees #1-3 and 5-8 (yellow) to a depth of 3-4”.
Tree protection fencing to enclose the tree protection zone (TPZ) shall be placed at or near the
driplines of #1-3 and 5-8 (red). See table 4 in tree preservation measures section for fencing
dimensions.
A root buffer shall be installed for worker access, and equipment and material staging.
