Proposed Services DEXBGI provides a thorough Background Investigation process on all candidates. It will include, but is not limited to, the below items: 1. Completed Background Investigation Report. The investigation narrative delves into areas such as the candidate’s Driving History, Criminal Record Check, Credit History, Education Verification, Military History, Relationships, Employment History, Family Members/ Personal References and Residence History. The completed investigative report is accompanied by the necessary supporting documentation. 2. All POST Background Investigations for Police Officers, Public Safety Dispatchers, and professional staff are based on ten investigative dimensions. Each dimension is assessed as part of the investigation. The investigative dimensions include: Integrity, Impulse Control/Attention to Safety, Substance Abuse and Other Risk-Taking Behavior, Stress Tolerance, Confronting and Overcoming Problems, Obstacles and other Adversity, Conscientiousness, Interpersonal Skills, Decision Making and Judgment, Learning Ability and Communication Skills. 3. Personal contact and interviews of all parties deemed to be significant. These parties include, but are not limited to: family, close personal friends, co-workers, and employers, past and present. 4. DEXBGI will interview candidate at the start of the background process. Package/Pricing Pleasanton Police Department personnel will conduct the Pre-Employment Interview to determine the suitability of the candidate. If it is determined a background investigation is warranted, DEXBGI will complete the background investigation. The cost for this service would be a flat fee of $1800.00 for Police Officer, Public Safety Dispatchers and/or professional staff. As of the contract date in 2025, this fee will increase to $1900.00. a. After meeting and interviewing the applicant, DEXBGI will provide a summary of disclosures and admissions from this - the initial stage of the background investigation. Many organizations use this opportunity to re -evaluate the applicant and decide to move forward with the applicant or disqualify the applicant. If the applicant is disqualified or not selected, the minimum fee will be $800. If the investigation is authorized to continue, the flat fee will apply.
