City of Pleasanton (0012108.00) 5 Woodard & Curran, Inc. Woodard and Curran Condition Assessment Scope_14Feb24 February 9, 2024
• Force Main Assessment Plan

Subtask 8.3 Conduct Site Visits and Operator Interviews W&C will conduct site visits and operator interviews based on four (4) pump stations per day or three (3) field visits. The existing conditions will be documented and photographed. Each
asset will be confirmed. The mechanical equipment and piping observations will be included for noise, vibration, protective coating, corrosion, operating pressure, flows, leaks, or other signs of poor condition. Electrical / Control equipment observations will include corrosion, wire integrity (visual only), and apparent code compliance or deviations. Structural evaluation will include visual observations of cracking, spalling, exposed aggregate or other visually
apparent structural deficiencies.
Subtask 8.3 Assumptions
• Electrical observation to be coordinated with the City’s electrical team / person.
• Structural observation does not include evaluation or calculations to verify seismic capacity or expected seismic performance of structures or pump station components. This analysis is per separate scope and fee.
• Woodard & Curran will not enter any OSHA-defined confined spaces, which may include wet wells and dry wells. Should entry into such spaces be required to complete an asset assessment, Woodard & Curran will rely on photos/videos provided by the
City.
• Woodard & Curran will not operate any equipment or open panels. If operator(s) can
safely operate equipment and open such panels for observation, Woodard & Curran will include observed conditions in its assessment.
• Pump Stations S-2, S-5, and possibly S-14 are at or near the end of use full life. This will be confirmed and validated as part of the assessment.
• Pump Stations S-7 and S-8 have high maintenance costs. Replacement of these two (2)
stations will be considered depending on site visits and review of issues / history.
• Site visits do not include force mains, which are assumed to be inspected under separate contract.
Subtask 8.4 Prepare Draft Pump Station Condition Assessment TM
This subtask involves compiling the work conducted under this task into a Technical Memorandum (TM) for use by the City. The efforts included in the development of the TM include, but are not limited to the following:
• Document existing conditions. This will take the form of representative photos and brief descriptions and completed assessment forms.
• Identify conditions that require immediate attention (typically conditions where failure
may be imminent or which represent an apparent risk to health and safety or operators or the public)
EXHIBIT B.1DocuSign Envelope ID: 5A406C2C-41AC-4CD1-B24B-4EEEED3DC26E
