Resolution No. 2024-004 Page 2 of 3 Members shall be reimbursed for appropriate expenses incurred when attending conferences if budgeted and approved by the City Council. 1. Commercial Real Estate — A representative from a commercial builder, developer, or business specializing in commercial real estate leasing or sales, with an office located in Pleasanton or who directly serves the Pleasanton community. 2. Downtown Business — A representative from a business located in the city's downtown district. 3. Retail — A representative from a retail business selling goods or services directly to customers in-store located in Pleasanton. 4. Information Technology —A representative from an information technology business that provides materials or services with an office located in Pleasanton. 5. Life Sciences —A representative from a business involved with research, development or manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, biomedical technologies, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, food processing, and other products with an office located in Pleasanton. 6. Commercial Services — A representative from a business specializing in commercial services with an office located in Pleasanton. 7. Professional Services - A representative from a business specializing in professional services with an office located in Pleasanton. SECTION 5. Members shall be appointed to the Committee in accordance with Resolution No. 97-18, Resolution Establishing Procedures for Appointments to City Boards and Commissions. SECTION 6. The Committee shall hold regular meetings as follows: a. The Committee shall meet every other month with the time, place and date set by the Committee. b. Special meetings may be called by the Committee chairperson or by any five members, provided written notice is given twenty-four hours in advance of the special meeting to the following: each Committee member, local newspapers of general circulation, and to anyone who has filed with the City Clerk or the Economic Development Division staff a written request for notice. Notice of meetings shall comply in all respects with Section 54950 et. seq. of the Government Code, known commonly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. c. All meetings shall be public; an agenda shall be prepared; action minutes of all meetings shall be kept and filed by Economic Development Division staff. SECTION 7. A simple majority of the current membership shall constitute a quorum. A meeting at which a quorum is initially present may continue to transact business, notwithstanding the withdrawal of members, if any action is approved by at least a majority of the required quorum.
