IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 367 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PLAYING OF PINBALL <br /> MACHINES BY PERSONS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, AND <br /> PLACING OF PINBALL MACHINES NEAR SCHOOLS; FURTHER <br /> REGULATION OF PINBALL MACHINES; PENALTY FOR <br /> VIOLATION; AND REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. AGE. It shall be unlawful for any person under <br />the age of 18 years to play, operate, manipulate, or control a <br />pinball machine in any public place in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. CONTROL. It shall be unlawful for any person, <br /> <br /> , other capacity, having . <br />visitor, proprietor clerk or in any <br /> <br />any person under the age of 18 years t e t i <br />or control, any pinball machine. ~ <br /> SECTION 3. SCHOOLS. It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to place, allow, keep, maintain, permit, or locate any pinball <br />machine within 600 feet of the nearest boundary of the grounds <br />of any school in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />institution, public, priv'~Y~'~'secular, or arochial which offers <br />instruction of high school grade or below.'.~ <br /> <br /> b. For the purposes of this article only the term <br />~_~_all. ma_chiD~~ is defined to mean any machine,-apparatus, <br />contrivance, appliance; or device which may be operated or played <br />upon, and as a result of the play, action or operation of such <br />machine, apparatus, contrivance, appliance or device, whether <br />by skillor by chance a score or result of such play, action or <br />operation is in any way recorded, exhibited, or made known, <br />including, but not limited to tape machine, card machine, marble <br />game machine, horse racing machine, basketball game machine, <br />baseball game machine, football game machine, pool game machine, <br />or any other similar machine or device. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. FREE GAMES. It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to keep or use in any public place any pinball machine equipped <br />with any device which cancels and records the cancellation of <br />free games won without the actual playing of said free games by <br />the player. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. COINS.
