<br />City Council Minutes Page 2 of 8 October 17, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Police Chief David Swing provided remarks about the Alternative Response to Mental Health Program. <br /> <br />League of California Cities representatives Sam Caygill and Jennifer Fathergill presented the Helen <br />Putnam award to the City. <br /> <br />City Councilmembers provided comments. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Brown called the meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:05 p.m. from the Remillard <br />Conference Room located at 3333 Busch Road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Testa provided opening remarks. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />City Attorney Dan Sodergren stated there was no reportable action from 6:00 p.m. closed session. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Balch pulled item 2 from the consent calendar for further discussion. Item 2 was moved <br />to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />Prior to voting on the Consent Calendar, Mayor Brown provided a summary of the terms of the <br />agreements of items 1 and 8. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Council <br /> <br />1. Approve amended and restated employment contract of City Manager Gerry Beaudin to provide <br />for a six and one quarter percent (6.25%) salary increase to $26,031 monthly effective September <br />1, 2023, various other adjustments to the terms of the contract, and a six and one-quarter percent <br />(6.25%) salary increase to $27,658 monthly effective February 1, 2024 <br /> <br />Recommendation: Approve amended and restated employment contract of City Manager Gerry <br />Beaudin and authorize the Mayor to sign on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />City Manager <br /> <br />2.
