YOUTH COMMISSION AGENDA REPORT <br />January 10, 2024 <br />Item 3 <br />TITLE: REVIEW FISCAL YEAR 2023/24 COMMUNITY GRANT MIDTERM <br />REPORTS <br />SUMMARY <br />As required by the Community Grant Program compliance protocols, each agency <br />must meet certain requirements including submitting a midterm report and final <br />report for each funded project. The midterm reports were to be completed in <br />Zoomgrants by November 15, 2023. <br />In the Youth category, five agencies received funding for six different projects. The <br />midterm report serves as an update to Commissioners on the status of the six projects. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Review Fiscal Year 2023/24 Community Grant Midterm Reports. <br />BACKGROUND <br />In April 2023, the City Council approved the Youth Commission’s funding <br />recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2023/24 Community Grant program. Five <br />agencies received funding for six projects for a total of $40,000. <br />Community Grant Program award recipients were required to submit a midterm <br />report for each funded project by November 15, 2023. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Youth Grant Summary Report provides details on expenditures by agency and <br />remaining funds for the 2023/24 grant cycle. Also noted in the report, is the date <br />midterm reports were submitted. The midterm report serves as a mechanism for the <br />agencies to provide a brief update on their projects including the status of their goals, <br />potential challenges, number of clients served, and amount of funding expended to <br />date. <br />Attached for the commission’s review is the Youth Grant Midterm Summary Report <br />(Attachment 1) and the detailed agency midterm reports as submitted in Zoomgrants. <br />(Attachment 2). <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Not applicable, as this item is an administrative matter of City business.
