My household and I oppose this proposal for the following reasons 1) During the long drought of CA, we readily accepted higher water rates. 2) We also cut down water usage and accept the cost of relandscaping after the drought was over. 3) Last year we had record rainfall and all reservoirs are healthy. Why would City want to increase water rates at this point? Please understand that inflation is already draining households and this proposed city action is very uncalled for. I therefore request the council to defer this rate till there is another drought and City needs our cooperation. Hope the council will consider our request. Best, nishi 1
