RESOLUTION NO. 23-1424 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING REQUIREMENTS FOR SPORTS ORGANIZATION FOR CO- <br /> SPONSORSHIP STATUS AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 98-125 <br /> WHEREAS, on September 1, 1998, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 98-125 <br /> establishing Recreation Group Sponsorship and classification and repealing resolution No. 83- <br /> 60; and <br /> WHEREAS, a review of the existing resolution (No. 98-125) found that it is outdated and <br /> does not reflect current standards and practices; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 14, 2023, the Parks and Recreation Commission considered <br /> the revision of Resolution 98-125 and adopted a resolution recommending changes to the City <br /> Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Repeals Resolution No. 98-125. <br /> SECTION 2. Establishes requirements for Sports Co-Sponsorship status pursuant to <br /> Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> SECTION 3. City staff are instructed to carry out the above requirements in all <br /> administrative decisions affecting recreation. <br /> SECTION 4.
