"*
Hi Mike and City council,
understand we are making bike lanes on Las Positas on way to Foothill high school.
I can see after making bike lanes, road is narrowed with permanent yellow zones and 2 lanes are
made 1 going east from Foothill to LasPositas towards Hopyard . Attached picture.
There is already traffic bottleneck on Las Positas going to Foothill high school in morning and while
coming back in afternoon
This new changes will increase the traffic congestion. Also the that stretch of road on Las Positas
going to Foothill is uphill and hence few students actually bike. Those who do, get down and walk
with their bikes. Most of the school year from Dec to Apr, it rains on and off and students biking are
also less.
5
