Examples of New York and Amsterdam bike lanes for grocery shopping and retail are not correct for Pleasanton, as big cities have excellent public transportation. In Pleasanton itself you and City had approved then Bart Owens drive narrowing for retail. For 5 years there is no retail with apartment tenants using the parking lot and bike lane is not.much used either. We are having huge water rate increase and City justification to spend on such irrelevant bike lane projects is not correct. No one is against bike lanes but robbing Peter to pay Paul .i.e narrowing roads and making it difficult for car movements is wrong. Hope you guys see wisdom some day. 1
