All sponsored groups must submit required documentation to the City before <br /> their scheduled use(s) and prior to the allocation of facility space/athletic fields. <br /> I. New groups/organizations requesting sponsored status must provide the City with <br /> a three (3) year plan which outlines its marketing and programming efforts, <br /> including an estimate of proposed growth and additional facility space/athletic <br /> field needs. Said plan subject to review and approval of the Director of Parks <br /> and Community Services. <br /> II. Types of Groups (Definitions) <br /> A. Sponsored Groups <br /> 1. Cosponsored: Reserved for community groups whose program serves a <br /> significant number of people, providing a wholesome and desirable <br /> recreational activity that is considered of service to the community. <br /> 2. Sanctioned Programs: Meets all of the above requirements but is <br /> limited in terms of numbers served. <br /> 3. Approved: Worthwhile activities or projects which are beneficial to the <br /> community but have main or limited values other than recreation. <br /> B. Classified Groups <br /> 1. Permitted: Local organization using facilities for its own members. <br /> Examples include service clubs, homeowner organizations, educational, <br /> and/or nonprofit social service groups. <br /> 2. Private and Commercial Use: Required to pay current fees and rental <br /> charges as established by the Parks and Recreation Commission and <br /> City Council. Resident applications to be given priority over nonresident <br /> applications. <br /> III. Requirements for Cosponsored Status <br /> A. Requirements of Qualification <br /> 1. Be organized to serve a worthwhile community leisure purpose. <br />
