6 THE CITY OF -•• ply 7 "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT PL EASANTON October 17, 2023 Community Development TITLE: ACCEPT $7,300,000 IN 2024 COMPREHENSIVE INVESTMENT PLAN FUNDS FROM THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR THE WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD MULTIMODAL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CIP NO. 11514 SUMMARY The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) has awarded the City a total of$9 million from the 2024 Comprehensive Investment Plan (CIP) for the West Las Positas Boulevard Multimodal Reconstruction Project, CIP No. 11514. This funding is comprised of$7.3 million from Measure BB discretionary (competitive) grant funding and $1.7 million from a federal Safe Routes to School Grant. The attached funding agreement outlines the responsibilities of the Alameda CTC and the City to accept the $7.3 million in Measure BB funds. An agreement for the $1.7 million in federal funds will be presented to the City Council at a future date. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the City Council: 1. Adopt a Resolution accepting $7,300,000 of Measure BB discretionary grant funds from the Alameda County Transportation Commission for the West Las Positas Multimodal Reconstruction Project, CIP No. 11514 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the Project Funding Agreement for the West Las Positas Multimodal Reconstruction Project with the Alameda County Transportation Commission 3. Authorize $1.3 million in Fiscal Year 2023/24 and $6 million in Fiscal Year 2024/25, for a total of$7.3 million, in Measure BB discretionary grant funds be allocated to the revenue and expenditure accounts for CIP No. 11514 (Revenue — 16230231- 333252-11514; Expenditure — 16230231-440108-11514).
