This program was phased out prior to the commencement of <br /> the new franchise agreement in July 2018. It was verbally agreed during contract <br /> negotiations, but never documented in the current rates, that PGS would be allowed to <br /> continue to use the 64-gallon carts for the commercial mixed recycling program with the <br /> first two 64-gallon carts used by a customer to be free and the third cart to be charged <br /> at the same rate as the second mixed recycling cart commercial rate. Table 2 shows the <br /> recommended rates for the commercial 64-gallon mixed recycling carts. <br /> The 64-gallon carts will continue to be phased out of service as they come to the end of <br /> their useful life. The 64-gallon cart is a "legacy" size and is no longer offered as an <br /> option for mixed recycling customers. The franchise agreement stipulates that the cart <br /> size to be provided to commercial customers is 96-gallons. Customers that currently <br /> have the 64-gallon carts may request PGS to replace them with a 96-gallon cart at any <br /> time. <br /> Table 2.
