The Master <br /> Officer/Sergeant Program is a career development program that benefits the employees, the <br /> Pleasanton Police Department, and the residents of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> Eligibility Requirements <br /> • At least 15 years of law enforcement experience as a sworn peace officer(minimum of two <br /> (2)years with Pleasanton). <br /> • Possession of an Intermediate POST Certificate. <br /> • Completion of at least 29 units of college credit or at least 40 hours of Crisis Intervention <br /> Training. <br /> • Completion of at least three (3)years of special assignment work, including at least one(1) <br /> qualified special assignment with the Pleasanton Police Department. <br /> • An overall performance evaluation rating of meets standards or better in the two (2)years <br /> prior to application. <br /> Qualified Special Assignments <br /> • Bicycle Officer <br /> • Canine Handler <br /> • Detectives (including any regional task force) <br /> • Drone Technician <br /> • Crime Scene Investigations Team <br /> • Explorer Advisor <br /> • Field Training Officer(FTO) <br /> • Alternate Response Unit <br /> • Honor Guard <br /> • Peer Support Team <br /> • Force Options Group <br /> • Recruitment Team <br /> • Personnel and Training Unit <br /> • School Resource Officer(SRO) <br /> • Tactical Team(SWAT/HNT) <br /> • Technology Team <br /> • Motor Officer <br /> • EVOC Instructor <br /> • VIPS Advisor <br /> • Terrorism Liaison <br /> • First Aid/CPR Instructor <br /> • Other collateral duties may include a special project or unique assignment approved by the <br /> Police Chief(e.g., service on City-wide committee). <br /> PM Effective Date <br /> It is the sole responsibility of each employee to complete a Master Officer/Sergeant Pay <br /> Authorization Form, provide all necessary backup or proof(if using experience from another <br /> agency), and receive sign off from the Police Chief or their designee, in order to receive Master <br /> 7 <br />
