ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT AWARD FROM <br /> THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF STATE AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS OFFICER <br /> WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $54,762 <br /> WHEREAS, the California Board of State and Community Corrections is administering the <br /> Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant Program that distributed $50,000,000 to law enforcement <br /> agencies throughout the state to improve officer wellness and expand mental health resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, the funds are intended to provide for the development and expansion of peer <br /> support units, services by licensed mental health professionals, and evidence-based programs or <br /> services that enhance officer wellness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton received an award of$54,762 to be spent between June <br /> 1, 2022 and December 1, 2025. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to accept the BSCC Officer <br /> Wellness and Mental Health Grant funds on the City's behalf and execute all related documents <br /> required by the grant program, including any amendments thereof. <br /> SECTION 2. Agrees that the City of Pleasanton will abide by the terms and conditions of <br /> the Grant Agreement as set forth by the BSCC and that grant funds received hereunder shall not <br /> be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> SECTION 3. Appropriates the grant funds to be spent within the previous, current, and <br /> following fiscal years: FY 2022/23, FY 2023/24, FY 2024/25, and FY 2025/26. <br /> SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a <br /> meeting held on October 3, 2023. <br /> I; Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton.
