Special Assignment Premium Pay: <br /> Beginning June 2024,employees designated or assigned to the following special <br /> assignments will receive premium pay equal to two and one-half percent (2.5%) <br /> of base pay: <br /> • Crime Scene Investigator <br /> • Detective Division (including Special Enforcement Unit) <br /> • Traffic/Motors Division <br /> • SWAT Team/Hostage Negotiations Team (HNT) <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after June 1, 2025, the premium pay forthe <br /> special assignments will be increased to equal to five percent (5%) of base pay. <br /> 5. Vacation: <br /> Effective the first pay period following ratification by the City Council, the City <br /> shall award each employee an additional 20 hours of supplemental vacation <br /> leave. Any unused hours atthe expiration of the MOU will be forfeited. <br /> Supplemental vacation leave is not eligible to be cashed out and any accrued <br /> and unused hours will have no cash value upon separation of employment. <br /> 6. Retiree Health Savings Account: <br /> A Retiree Health Savings Account (RHSA) assists employees in saving for their <br /> medical expenses after retirement. Effective the first pay period following <br /> ratification by the City Council, the City's contribution toward the Retiree Health <br /> Savings Account shall increase from $50 per month to $150 per month. <br /> Employees will maintain their required contribution of $50 per month. <br /> 7. Seniority Shift Sign up Program: <br /> Currently, the seniority shift sign up program restricts employees who are, or <br /> expected to be, off duty for a protracted amount of time. The City has agreed to <br /> exclude employees in protected leave status under the Family Medical Leave Act <br /> (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), and/or Pregnancy Disability Leave <br /> (PDL)from the current seniority shift sign up restrictions. <br /> 8. Mandatory Meetings: <br /> The current MOU provision provides a minimum of four(4) hours of pay at time <br /> and a one-half (1'/2) for employees who staff a special event or official duties <br /> performed outside their regular work hours. In addition, the City agrees to pay <br /> employees who are required to attend a virtual meeting outside of their regular <br /> scheduled work hours a minimum of two (2) hours of pay at time and one-half <br /> (1'/2) with prior management approval. <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
